All of my life, I have been drawn to older adults. As a young child, I was fascinated by my grandparents who were adventurous and intriguing. As a teenager, I chose to volunteer to routinely visit older adults in a nursing home. I enjoyed sitting with them and talking about their experiences. I felt comforted by their wisdom and inspired by their resilience.
As my career began to take shape in my early adulthood, I found myself once again with older adults. I have spent nearly all of the last twenty-five years working with older adults and their families. I have worked as a paralegal in the Trust & Estates practice area helping older individuals find solid footing after the loss of a loved one. In many cases, I helped them maintain their independence and remain in their homes.
I have been blessed to be able to have my own eldercare management business for over 15 years. I have helped many elders and their families navigate the long term care system and to find support and services to enable them to remain in their own homes or to move into an appropriate long term care community.
